All good things are 3! After the years 2015 and 2018 we got the 17. TOP-OF-THE-MOUNTAINs Touristic Award in 2019/20 for beeing the Best Sport & Rent Shop again! Christoph and Wolfgang (the owners of the skischool Sturm) are very happy to belong to the best of the alps once again and they want to thank their amazing team for this great success.
For more than 15 years now, the ski test team has been touring the European Alps and taking a close look at tourism destinations. These establishments are "checked" for the offer to the customer at the very least, the procedure and the service in the various divisions are subject to a strict assessment. So it happened again in the season 2017/18, that test persons have assessed the overall offer - ski rental, ski school, ski depot - in our company. We are very proud that we are once again the winner in three main categories:
- Ski School of the year with five snow crystals in GOLD
- Best children's offer in GOLD
- Sportshop of the year in GOLD

Intersport Sturm in Lofer is one of the best sport shops in Austria with its inviting atmosphere and has succeeded once again in being awarded “Sport Shop of the Year”. The gold award is the biggest prize given in this category by the International Ski Area Test. Guaranteeing the best knowledge and first-class quality!

In order to receive this award, you have to compete with the best schools in the Alps. The Sturm Ski School in Lofer was given this title also already in 2013.
As top ski school in the Alps and one of the best in Austria it is our goal to meet the highest demands. This is confirmed not only by our happy customers but also by numerous awards and distinctions.
We also received this distinction for the second time and once again supply proof that smaller skiers and snow princesses get the best with us, and that learning to ski at Sturm ski school becomes child’s play!

The Ski Area Test is an important indicator as regards quality and safety in winter sports. 347 tourist destinations have been tested to date. In the winter season 2012/13, 43 ski resorts were visited and inspected in Austria, Italy and Switzerland. During the winter season, the examiners assessed the range of different ski schools with ski hire and ski storage.
We’re especially pleased that our Sturm Ski School in Lofer came top in 3 main categories:

- Sport Shop of the Year
Zipfer Tourism Prize 2013
Sturm Ski School & Intersport were nominated for the Zipfer Tourism Prize 2013 awarded by the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) and the State of Salzburg, and thanks to the “All in one for the guest” project, range among the most innovative tourism companies in Salzburg!
