For all others, lift passes can be bought at the lift station of the Loferer Alm cable car. The prices are available under www.skialm-lofer.com

Yes. Everyone needs one for the use of the lift system.
Are half day courses available?
Half day courses are available for adult intermediate groups, snowboard, cross country skiing and private lesson. All other courses are for 4 hrs. ( 2 hrs. in the morning and 2hrs.in the afternoon)!
Is it possible for our children to stay together in one group?
Our ski school sorts the ski groups out primarily by the experience of the children's skiing and age. If however, your children or friends of your children have the same skiing experience and you would like them to be together, please let us know and we'll do our best!
Should the children not be able to ski as well as each other, then the child that skis better will have to take this into consideration when skiing!
Do we have to take a (5) 6 day course or is it possible to do a shorter course?
Our programme for groups is built on the basis of a week including a ski race and many other exciting stages.Thats why it makes sense to complete the whole (5) 6 day course. However, it is of course possible to take a shorter course!
Is there a difference in price when, after booking a 3 day course, one decides to extend the course for a further 2 or 3 days?
No! Starting from a course with a duration of 3 days, it is possible to extended a course for a further few days by paying the difference between a 3 and a 5 day course! Therefore, the price remains the same!
Is it possible in terms of time, for parents and children both to take a ski course?
Yes, parents and children both have the same meeting place at the same time. In case parents are a little late returning, we will of course look after the children until they arrive!
How do the groups get sorted out?
The groups are mainly sorted at the ski school office depending on your skiing experience.
For intermediate children, a demonstration of skiing experience is required.
Of course if you are not suited one hundred percent to the group you have been sorted into, it is always possible to change groups.
Do we receive our money back if the children don't like it?
Principly, you receive a refund only if you have a Doctor's certificate (illness, injury) .However, we have various offers ( trial days and extensions) so that you will not take a risk in paying too much.
Should things still not work out as you expected, we would ask you to come to the office.
If you don't like it in a course, is it possible to change to another course (eg. snowboard to ski course)?
This is of course possible, we only ask you to notify the ski school office, so that we can transfer the course!
Can you join an existing course during the week?
Principly, the groups are only sorted on Sunday and Monday. It is, nevertheless possible for intermediate skiers to join any existing group!
Is it also possible to book lessons with a particular ski instructor?
This is possible, we do, however, request that you let us know by telephone, e-mail or at the online booking.
But we ask you to understand that we cannot give a guarantees for that. Due to certain circumstances (illness, group changings, ...) it might be needed to change the instructor.
How early do I have to book a private instructor?
Principly, the earlier the better! We ask you to make your reservation at least one day before, so that we can arrange an instructor for you! Should you, for whatever reason, not be able to book one day before it will make it necessary for us to book the next available instructor!
You can book your private instructor online on our website, you send us an e-mail or make a telephone call.
How old do children have to be to take part in a ski course?
At least three years old.
What is the difference between a trial course and a normal ski course?
The only difference is the price of the ticket, in case the child doesn't want to stay in the course. If the child wants to extend the number of days there will only be the balance to pay between the trial ticket and the normal ski course.
Do you also have Dutch instructors?
We do have Dutch instructors but we cannot promise that you will have a Dutch instructor. Please let our office know of your request and we'll do our best.
Must the ski course take place on consecutive days?
The course should be on consecutive days as the programme is designed to learn something new on each day. It could mean a change of group.
Is it also possible to join a group for one day only?
We recommend at least three days, the advantage is, if you wish to extend the course you only have to pay the difference between a 3 day and 5 day. Also, the group course is designed to take place over a week. We especially recommend beginners to take a course of at least 4 to 6 days, so they get a good foundation of skiing.
We wish you lots of fun with our offers at the ski school Sturm in Lofer!
